Not too many good Filipino Restaurants in Honolulu, but this place has very tasty Filipino food, grab n go style and lots of parking. Will definitely go again if don't want to drive to Waipahu.

I can never get a photo of my food from San Nicolas to post a review because I devour it immediately! The workers here are so welcoming and nice. I love that portions are reasonably priced versus how it can be to get Filipino food on the mainland. The empanadas are a must buy every time!

Sorry about the pic I was excited for my food and I ate it First of all I've been eating here for years! When My papa passed away this was the closest to his cooking. I'm born and raised in the valley! MASARAP! A great place for good Filipino food! Sometimes the people working there ain't so helpful and they serve people before you. But I let it go cause I see them argue amongst themselves haha. Love this place. Always turn family, coworkers, friends, in-laws on to this place. Can't eat it there but still good anywhere else. Parking is crazy and on a screwed up road like you in the Philippines yourself. I always get double dinakdakan. ALWAYS! But everything else is great too.

A small but convenient place in Kalihi for delicious Filipino dishes and desserts. They offer mini or regular plate (two choices) options or side orders of the over dozen entrees. Limited parking stalls with can get easily filled during lunch hours and on weekends.

I was first introduced to San Nicolas Chicharon & Sausage by a good friend who is part Tagalog and part Ilocano. Today is my third visit. Today, I came a little too late as this was the only choice that I was willing to have. I got a 2 choice plate lunch with the Ilocano version of pinakbet & pork adobo with steamed rice. It's a good combination and their adobo is flavored well. I also got the pork rinds [chicharon]. The flavor is there but it's swimming in lots of oil. My coworker decided to take it home and she used it to make monggo soup [mung bean soup]. I'm waiting to try it ;) I also grabbed a few of their empanadas. This empanadas winnahz!!! My coworkers loved it!!! They said it's so much better than Golden Coin. The store also sells side snacks like peanuts, chips, sodas, and of course their sweet mochi desserts that I forgot to take a picture of smh lol The ladies that serves the food are super nice and friendly! The place is loud with happy customers eager to be the next in line to get their meal. There's a few parking. The entrance and exit is the same but it's a bit tight so be extra careful if you go. It's a bit pricey but worth a try. I wish they'll see the deep fried intestines ;)

Very nondescript exterior. I would've overlooked it if I weren't headed to the shop next-door. Was pleasantly surprised to find ready to eat options. A plate with a scoop of rice and two sides came out to be $11. The pork adobo and pancit were good

A small Filipino store/eatery serving illocano based food! They also make longanisa (Filipino sausage) in house and it's THE best on the island! I love coming to grab a plate lunch every time I'm in the area, food portions are very generous and so delicious! Never disappointed when I come in. The aunties are always friendly whenever I come also. Be sure to come before 3pm because a lot of their food sells out quick!
